ALOHA!!!!

Wow, I apologize! It has been over a month since I wrote last… Well a lot has happened since my last blog post… I graduated from UH Manoa! I graduated on May 15, 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Travel Industry Management! Everything went so well, and I am happy that my family was able to fly up to Oahu and experience my graduation with me

Another AWESOME thing happened late last month… I got to meet a really great guy! His name is Donnie Dadiz and he makes me happy!! He has been so supportive and loving since day 1. I am very lucky yo have him in my life. I visited him on his home island of MAUI last week Thursday – Sunday and I am going back to MAUI again tomorrow. lol. Well I might as well hang out as much as I can with him until I start work full time as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor/Leadership Development Program. lol

I am excited and I am happy… Hope everyone is doing well!!

Aloha Everyone!

How has everyone been doing?? Well guess what?? The 2nd Annual Na Kukui Netlinks & Awards Event went sooo well!! There were some minor things that can be fixed for next year, but it went well. I am so happy it went how it did! Also, Marc Orbito was a great photographer!!!

I am sort of feeling under the weather =/ It’s not so good. I got a runny nose… Well tomorrow I am going to a Lo’i in Kaneohe!! It should be fun… It’s for Po’okela… Anyway I’d like to share this pic with you.. My award I won on Thursday!

Sorry I haven’t wrote in my blog for awhile! I have never been this busy before! Well earlier today I went on ATV riding at Kualoa Ranch for a PATA social event! It was so much fun! I love getting to know other people and having a blast with others

So my TIMSA Vegas trip went really well and I am happy that everything went accordingly and that people were able to gain a lot out of that experience. I really miss Vegas though! I don’t know when I can go back either! That sucks…

I have went through so much interviews since my last post! I am behavioral based questioned -OUT! lol But I hope I get an offer soon, we’ll see. Wish me luck!

Aside from all of this, The TIM School’s 2nd Annual Na Kukui Netlinks and Awards Event is happening on April 15th next week Thursday! I am looking forward to it because I have been planning it for so long, and it has been a lot of hard work! I can’t wait to see the end product! Also, I won an Award! The TIM International Award of Excellence Award

Heading back to Vegas!

Is it already Vegas time??? Dang time flies by so fast! I just remember writing about my first time in Vegas!! Well I am happy to say that I successfully planned TIMSA’s trip to Las Vegas!!!! it was time consuming & stressful but I did it and am proud of myself YAY.

Pau Hana!

I went to my first Honolulu Pau Hana Networking event tonight! It was a lot of fun and I got to meet a lot of people. It was at the Ka Restaurant and Lounge in Ward, and it was pretty nice. I haven’t been in Ka before… But I am going tomorrow night for half off drinks ALL NIGHT! Plus, I got some friends in town. So back to the networking event… Well, I was the only college student and the youngest one there. A lot of people were making fun of me saying “I was too young to be there”, they were joking, of course (at least I hope so haha) and they said it’s great that I am trying to build a network. So networking is very important, especially because sometimes it’s who you know and not what you know, ya know? lol. Well besides the point being a TIM student, a lot of the professionals there kept asking me about the TIM School merging with the Shidler College of Business, and honestly, in my mind I had no opinion. It’s just because I am tired of hearing it. It takes so much energy trying to explain to others why I don’t want the merge to happen. I have a feeling that the Chancellor won’t really listen to us anyway, because she did a really crappy job communicating this merger issue to us in the first place! UGH. I am done with this, like come on already. Since both the TIM School and Business School are unique and prestigious in their own way, let it be.

Well besides that other drama has been happening and I think it’s just bullsh*t and stupid. Why prolong something that doesn’t need to be prolonged? Why not squash it and move on? I am an outsider looking in on this one, and I don’t think drama will help the situation, letting go will make it go away. Who needs added stress anyway? I know I don’t!

Okay so back to my main topic, the networking event. It was something that I looked forward to all day and it made me happy being able to see my friends and meet new people. What a way to start the weekend… (I don’t have classes on Fridays so I get 3 day weekends. hehe yay me!)

Relieved.

So my first ever case study is officially DONE! yay! My goodness, that was some intensive research and citing and figuring out ratios and all that other good stuff… YUP. I pretty much know Marriott inside and out! Haha, well for the most part… But I am officially done and happy. I hope I get a good grade though! I worked super hard on it!

Well a lot of things have been happening recently in school and my extra curriculars and stuff which SUCKS. It kind of makes me not care, which I know isn’t good to say, but I don’t know. I just feel that I do so much sometimes and it’s just not good enough. Idk. I guess it just might be a stage i’m going through right now, but it sucks. Well I am looking forward to tomorrow night, because it means the WEEKEND. I need the weekend back again, just to relax and maybe get some surf and golf time in. That would be AWESOME. Oh yeah that reminds me, I can’t ride my own surf board! I always have t borrow my friends while he rides mine. So I am making it a goal of mine to ride my board before I graduate in May! lol… So I have to make sure I can do it! The board I have right now feels too short for me, I like my 7′ fun boards. haha.

Okay well, i’m looking forward to this networking thing tomorrow. That is probably one of the only things this week that could make me happy. I like meeting new people so I can’t wait!!

Case Studyyyy

So I am NOT ENJOYING MARDI GRAS. Well, at the moment, I might go out later. LOL, but yeah this case study on Marriott is kicking my butt!! I have always heard the horror stories about TIM 431, but I never really realized it until now! But time management has been on my side and I cannot wait until it’s Thursday because that’ll mean that first case study on Marriott will be done!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Wow another Valentine’s Day… So far it’s been a good day. HOMEWORK is getting done! Haha, well other than that I hope I have a good night, I probably will though, I’ll be with the ones I love. So anyway I just realized that it’s the Olympic Winter Games! I remember clearly, watching the Olympics in 2002 and I was amazed by this guy named Apolo Anton Ohno! He was sooo great at Short Track Speed Skating, and of course he was really good looking! I can’t believe that was 8 years ago! Pretty crazy how time can fly by.

Well back to writing my first case study for my TIM 431 class! Hope everyone has a great day!

Okay I am soooo sorry I haven’t been writing… Damn, silly me. I have a blog and I don’t write in it like how i’m suppose to. Okay this time, I will try to dedicate some time out of my day to write in here. Okay, deal…. DEAL. Well it’s officially February. Damn, where has the time gone. Is it really almost 3 more months until I graduate?? Oh my lordy…. I am excited yet sad. I know I will be super excited if I have a job lined up before I graduate so right now i’m looking and waiting at the same time.

Since the last entry, I have taken on more responsibility! It is crazy how I manage to do all of it… But hey, I like being busy and I like trying new things. So I am officially the Director of Public Relations for BargainBevs.com! That’s pretty cool huh? The title I mean… But so far so good, I’m trying to somehow make money with BargainBevs but I have no idea how to. Any ideas? Well so far I usually been going out Thursday nights, Friday nights, and sometimes Saturday nights to advertise on BargainBevs. We’re giving away shirts too so you should follow BargainBevs to see where we’re at so you can win a free SHIRT!

School wise things are going well. I got elected as one of the Student Co-Coordinators for the 2nd Annual Na Kukui Netlinks Awards Event for the School of Travel Industry Management! I am also the Undergraduate Student Representative on the committee for the Student Employee of the Year award. It’s UH Manoa’s 25th anniversary giving away this award so it’s kind of a big deal too. Lucky me huhhhh. lol

Still doing the campus tours and all those other TIM School club stuff. TIMSA is also heading to Las Vegas! In less than a month… YIPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! Well, that about sums it up!
